Dear Residents,
Following recent enquiries, we would like to remind residents of the responsibilities of the Owners' of Rowley Park Survey Committee (ORPSC) as set out in the Constitution, these are as follows:
Maintain roads, footpaths, and communal areas for residents and authorised users.
Protect the private status of estate roads, including legal action if necessary.
Ensure compliance with the Covenant, particularly for building and development projects within the Park.
Operate a Neighbourhood Watch Scheme in coordination with local police.
Work with Rowley Park Trustees to safeguard and, if needed, help maintain Trustee-owned land.
Liaise with local authorities, solicitors, and relevant third parties.
Collect and manage Park rates for the benefit of Rowley Park.
Maintain gardens, barriers, street lighting, and communal spaces to keep Rowley Park safe and desirable.
Arrange liability and other relevant insurance coverage.
Committee Position re: Brunswick Terrace Development:
The proposed Brunswick Terrace development is adjacent to, but not within, the Rowley Park private estate. As such, it does not fall under the covenant nor under any of the responsibilities of the ORPSC. Since it is outside the committee’s remit, we will not be taking any further action in addition to sharing the proposed plans already on our website.
Planning Feedback
Residents who have concerns regarding the development should engage with the formal planning process before the Neighbour Consultation expiry date on Wednesday 12th February 2025. You can access the Stafford Planning Portal and submit comments via the following link: (Application: 24/40023/FUL)
Public Meeting
Councillor Doug Rouxel (Rowley Ward) has arranged a public meeting at 19:00hrs on 17th February at The Blessed William Howard Catholic School, where residents can discuss the development and share their views.
Regards
Rowley Park Owners and Residents' Survey Committee
